The Lil’ Homesteaders

Homeschool Co-op

Secular and rooted with a deep love of learning, The Lil’ Homesteaders is our bi-weekly co-op. It is parent led and welcoming of all ages and stages.

Our year begins around the Autumnal Equinox and ends just before the Summer Solstice.

We are not a drop-off, and are 100% volunteer run.

Seasonal Enrichment Classes

Seasonally, we love to host our local homeschool community with a set of enrichment classes.

There are currently two levels. The Bees (ages 2-6) and The Badgers (ages 7-13). These classes have limited slots and availability is first come, first serve.

We teach our classes with a focus on environmentalism, traditional skills, and hands-on learning. Of course, we’re Waldorf inspired but do not adhere to a strict Steiner policy.

Closed until…? (We’re Moving!)

Based on age and experience, learn to wet felt or needle felt using wool from our own flock.

Enjoy a fun and creative afternoon dying your very own roving. Meet the sheep and see the basics of hand processing wool while you’re here.

Knitting | Crochet | Nalbinding

While I do not teach all three at once, I will rotate between these three fiber arts and cover the basics as we create a simple project.
